  1. Hi! I am so excited about your new cookbook! I would love to buy it! I sadly am intolerant to coconut, and wanted to ask if many of your recipes in your book contain it. I dont’ have access to a book store where they would sell your cookbook, so can’t have a look at the ingredients you use. I would be sad if I couldn’t eat most of the recipes in your book and had bought it! I hope to buy it though, and make many of your always delicious recipes. :)

  2. Claire – I do use coconut oil in some of the recipes, but it could be replaced with olive oil in many of them. I also use coconut milk in a few of them, but if you can tolerate dairy, you could substitute organic cream.

  3. I just discovered your website. I am excited to follow your tweets and recipes.

  4. Hi Hallie, I have a similar question as Claire. I’m wondering if many of the recipes in your cookbook use egg. My younger son is allergic to egg, as well as other foods. Thanks.

  5. Hi Cristine – 72 of the 100 recipes are egg-free. :)

I just recently found your website, and It is very exciting to me. My mom recently found out that she has kidney disease. She has gone off sugar and gluten and her health is showing improvement. I would love to give her your cook book so she can continue on eating healthy every day!

  7. Hi Hallie!
I am just about ready to publish my website. I was born allergic to dairy, but my parents forgot about it after writing it in my baby book! I had intestinal discomfort to varying degrees my entire life, until 5 years ago when I was diagnosed with dairy allergies and then 3 years after that with gluten allergies. I feel good, except now I have diverticulitis. It’s a bummer! Anyway I am so excited to see you are both dairy and gluten free! I am teaching a class in a couple of weeks to spread the news to others. So many people ask me about my allergies I decided to dive in and pass on some of my knowledge, places to shop, blogs to visit, etc. Any words of wisdom for me when I teach the course and can I add a link on my website to your blog? I just told my husband I wasn’t buying anymore books, but since I cannot get your book on my nook I am going to have to buy it! Thanks for any help you can give!

  8. Chrys: Thanks for stopping by and sharing your story. My advice would simply be to be yourself and draw on your personal experience to help others. People resonate with honesty! :) And yes, you can most definitely add a link to my blog to your site. All the best to you!

  9. Will your book be available on Kindle?

  10. Kelli: It’s not yet, but I hope to make it available on Kindle at some point soon. :)
