This week’s podcast guest is Stephanie O’Dea. In 2008, Stephanie made a New Year’s resolution to use her slow cooker every single day that year and write about it online. This simple idea resulted in a highly-trafficked website and five books, one of which spent six weeks on the New York Times best sellers list. Stephanie has appeared on Good Morning America and The Rachael Ray Show and has been featured in Real Simple Magazine, Woman’s World, and on Oprah.com.
I first met Steph years ago at a conference and I was immediately inspired by her warm demeanor and honest communication style. In today’s episode, we talk about Steph’s experience in the publishing industry, how she found herself on The Rachael Ray Show, and the importance of strong work ethic. We also talk about crockpot cooking (of course), steps to take to live more peaceful and manageable lives, why it’s good to be bored, and the wonderful benefits of stepping away from our screens.
