Simple & Crisp

Update 12/6/13: This giveaway is now closed.

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas. And you know what that means: holiday parties! If you’re already worrying about what healthy treat you’ll take along to your next holiday shindig, then today’s giveaway is for YOU.

A few months ago I was contacted by Simple & Crisp. Handcrafted in Seattle, Simple & Crisp’s dried fruit “chips” are a unique and healthier alternative to crackers that pair well with artisanal cheeses, charcuterie, and hors d’eourves platters. They would also be  fun garnish for desserts. I enjoyed my Simple & Crisp samples as a crunchy snack with a handful of nuts.

The apple and pear crisps are unsweetened while the orange crisps are lightly sweetened with organic cane sugar. As you know, I’m not a fan of added sugar, but I think that the orange crisps would make a fun garnish for cupcakes and a nice option for visiting guests who might have a bit more of a sweet tooth than I do!
